I went down to document the protestors two weeks after the police used tear gas on thousands of citizens demanding the right to elect their own leader without interference from Beijing. On October 17th early in the morning the police tore down some of the barriers on Nathan Rd in the Mong Kok area and by mid day the protestors were back in full force to take back the streets that were cleared. By evening over 400 police arrived in Mong Kok to prevent the takeover. Saturday morning the protestors had taken back Nathan Road and Argyle St. I am showing these seven photos at Studio F Gallery in the Tashiro Kaplan Building, 312 S Washington St. Seattle, Washington.
